A complex research project on consumer behavior patterns in terms of energy consumption made with tools based on smart grid
We developed a complex research project for Energa Operator - top energy sector’s company in Poland. Our research methodology was based on usage of behavioral methods in order to estimate and help managing energy consumption executing demand-side response using measurement data from AMI system. The research topic was households’ feedback on personalized energy reliability and economic performance data.
Enables consumers to broaden their knowledge regarding their current and historical power usage. Thanks to the simple design and well-developed system of comparisons, users can easily follow their electricity consumption. The platform also establishes a valuable base of knowledge that helps improve the household’s energy efficiency.
The energy report was delivered to consumers on a monthly basis by e-mail or via traditional post. The report contains visually clear and accessible power usage charts, as well as, comparison charts and saving tips.
We have delivered a complete IT solution collecting and cleaning real-time energy data provided by an energy supplier. Analysts had designed dedicated algorithms for data analysis that were later implemented in automatic processes. Applications were integrated with system via API. The chosen architecture and technology stack guaranteed high performance and scalability of the solution and allowed to further development.
Energa Operator is one of Poland’s four largest energy companies and one of the three largest electricity suppliers in Poland. Their core activities include the generation and distribution of and trading in electricity and heat, as well as gas trading.
Comparision of user's power usage over chosen time frame and among similar households.
